April's Better Than Yesterday Recipient
Each month the EHP coaching staff selects a member that is 'Better Than Yesterday!' The selected recipient is a great example of EHP's CREDO-- demonstrating compassion, resilience, perseverance and tenacity.
Tim Rousar was selected as April's 'Better Than Yesterday' recipient.
Why did you start Elevate/CrossFit?
I started CrossFit a little apprehensively after several months of my wife telling me I would like it. Before coming to EHP I was a “cardio Queen” (my wife’s favorite term) so I was nervous about joining. Nicole assured me that the people here were great and it would be fun.
Why do you continue CrossFit? I keep doing CrossFit because it is constantly varied. The variety keeps it interesting. I also love the thrill that comes with hitting a new PR or being around someone who does! The environment, culture and community are very supportive and fun to be a part of.
What has been your greatest achievement since joining EHP Performance? I would probably have to say being voted Most Improved for the EHP Awards. It meant a lot not only thinking about how far I had come since starting but knowing that my fellow members noticed the change too.
How has your life changed since joining EHP Performance? I’ve made a lot of friends in the fitness community. EHP has helped make me more consistent with getting workouts in and absolutely upped the intensity of the workouts.
Tim has made a huge transformation since joining EHP in the fall of 2018. Double-unders, muscle-ups, snatches, handstand walking.... you name it, Tim has worked tirelessly to improve at it. He has a great work ethic (and works diligently to beat Coach Courtney).
He is dedicated, consistent and friendly. Tim is always welcoming and encouraging to everyone who walks through the doors at EHP. Tim and his wife, Nicole, make a great team! As busy parents they prioritize their time to ensure that their health and fitness doesn't suffer in the midst of parenthood. Way to be great role models for your girls!!
Congratulations Tim! Keep up the fantastic work.
