August and September's 'Better Than Yesterday' Recipients

Each month the EHP coaching staff selects a member that is 'Better Than Yesterday!' The selected recipient is a great example of EHP's CREDO-- demonstrating compassion, resilience, perseverance and tenacity.

Brad and Rhonda were selected as August and September's 'Better Than Yesterday' recipients. This sweet couple joined EHP in December of 2019. They exemplify hard work, resiliency, enthusiasm and kindness.

Why did you start CrossFit?

Rhonda: I started CrossFit because Brad wanted to, and it would be our only time together during the day. Brad: Functional fitness is what I’m all about. It’s challenging and fun to workout with people that have a similar personality to myself.

Why do you continue CrossFit?

Rhonda: I continue CrossFit because of the community that EHP provides. It’s a place that anyone can show up no matter their background or ability and feel welcome. Brad: It continues to push me and is always challenging. It’s fun and keeps me feeling young.

What has been your greatest achievement since joining EHP?

Rhonda: My greatest achievement has been realizing I am capable of doing more, then I thought.

Brad: Mobility! Doing an overhead squat properly is something I’ve never been able to do.

How has your life changed since joining EHP?

Rhonda: I am more confident in my ability to do some of the movements. I have also started to come out of my shell and be a little less shy and talk to people.

Brad: Love the people and the memories I‘ve created with Rhonda. It’s fun having something Rhonda and I can do as a couple!!

Brad and Rhonda are very consistent-- they show up and hard without complaining (even though Rhonda has a love/hate relationship with the assault bike)! Since joining EHP in late 2019, Brad and Rhonda have attended over 160 classes each. They are very dedicated to their health and fitness journey!

Prior to COVID-19, Brad was going to participate in his first team competition, we hope he will have the opportunity to complete his goal next year! As for Rhonda, she participated in our spring BTC challenge and NAILED it. She was very compliant and really dialed in on her nutrition.

Congratulations, Brad and Rhonda ! We are happy that you two have grown so much individually and as a couple since joining EHP. We look forward to getting to know you guys even more!
